Man busted with unlicenced firearm
The arrest came after police received a tip-off from the community about a suspicious silver Toyota without a registration number.
A 34-year-old man was arrested in possession of an unlicenced firearm in Olivenhoutbosch earlier this week.
The arrest came after police received a tip-off from the community about a suspicious silver Toyota without a registration number, according to police spokesperson Sergeant Pretty Mokadi.
“They went to the address where the vehicle was spotted. Upon arrival, they searched the house and a few minutes later, the suspect came out of hiding,” she said.
He was found in possession of an unlicenced firearm and was arrested immediately.
Olievenhoutbosch police management applauded the officers for a swift response and ensuring the suspect was brought to book.
