Warm and sunny weather returns this week

After a cold and windy start to the week, the SA Weather Service says Pretoria residents can expect a warm weekend.

After a cold and windy start to the week, the SA Weather Service says Pretoria residents can expect a warm weekend.

On Tuesday, maximum temperatures in Gauteng dropped to 14 °C for the first time in nearly a month.

Forecaster Tokelo Chiloane said the cold weather was due to a high-pressure system in KwaZulu Natal.

She said that the cold wind from the ocean brought in moisture causing temperatures to drop in the Gauteng region.

“From Thursday onwards, we expect fine conditions with temperatures reaching a high of 19 °C for Pretoria.”

On Friday, temperatures will reach a peak of 21 °C. Going into the weekend, expect sunny and warm conditions for Pretoria, with maximum temperatures ranging in the low 20s.
