Close to 20 school children injured in Moot bus accident
A mini-truck driver also suffered serious injuries and had to be taken to hospital.
About 20 children were injured when their school bus was involved in a crash in Rietfontein on Tuesday afternoon.
Albert Jansen van Nieuwenhuizen of Ambu-Link Healthcare Providers said the accident occurred on Beyers Street and involved a mini truck and a school bus.
“Upon arrival, medics found that close to 20 school children had suffered minor to moderate injuries. Together with multiple other emergency medical services, Best Care treated and transported these children to various hospitals,” said Van Nieuwenhuizen.
Van Nieuwenhuizen said the mini truck driver suffered serious injuries and had to be taken to hospital.
