A 38-year-old mother and her two children were injured after the car they were travelling in rolled down an embankment along the N14 highway on Sunday.

ER24 spokesperson Ross Campbell said the incident took place in Thatchfield where the vehicle swerved, hitting a barrier.

“ER24 arrived on the scene at 14:02 to find the daughter (9), who had been ejected from the vehicle, lying on the ground and the mother with her son (5) having managed to get out of the car by themselves,” he said.

“The mother had suffered minor injuries. All three were treated and transported to a private hospital in the area for further care.”
