Reminder: Stage 2 loadshedding Tshwane schedule

Stage 2 loadshedding was implemented on Saturday morning. Click here to find out when your area will be affected.

Eskom announced that stage 2 loadshedding which started from 05:00 on Saturday, would continue until Monday.

In a statement on Friday, the power utility said that loadshedding was necessary after they experienced trips and other unit issues at their stations.

“Following the shut down of three generating units at Kendal power station, the trip of a unit each at Tutuka and Matimba power stations and delayed return to service of a unit each at Majuba and Lethabo power stations, it is anticipated that some generating units will return to service later today (Friday) and overnight, allowing a reduction to stage 2 loadshedding for the remainder of the weekend.
