Log leaders Tshwane South College beat Ma-Lions in regional league
The regional league log leaders, Tshwane South College Football Club, aim at advancing to ABC Motsepe and Premier Soccer leagues.
Tshwane South College FC beat Ma-Lions FC 1-0 in a sizzling Safa Tshwane Regional League match at the Trouw Street sports ground in Capital Park, Pretoria Moot.
Samuel Mhlanga broke the deadlock in the 75th minute to give his side a well-deserving victory.
“I think we were lucky to score in the second half because the game was tense as both teams were fighting for a victory,” Tshwane South College head coach Koketso Mmotong told Rekord.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns winger said his side missed several goal-scoring opportunities in the first half, citing that this was a result of the pressure they were feeling since they were facing one of the toughest teams in the league.
Tshwane South College missed the first scoring opportunity as early as in the second minute of the match when Lebogang Monyai came face to face with the goalkeeper.
Mmotong is determined that his side will win the league.

“We have a balanced team this season and, if we continue achieving good results, I am confident that we will win the league.”
He said they wanted to win the league and advance to ABC Motsepe League and Premier Soccer League.
The victory saw the log leaders extending the lead by three more points to a total of 45.
Although they have a game in hand, they are now five points ahead of their rivals, Mike One Stars FC, which are in the second position with 40 points in 19 games.
Ma-Lions head coach Ossie Mohale said his side played well but it was unfortunate that they ended up losing the game.
“We will now go back to the drawing board and see where we can improve to win upcoming matches.”
