Boschkop police hosted an imbizo where issues such as corruption and police visibility were discussed.
Station commander Lieutenant-Colonel Abakona Sithole led the imbizo where community members informed him that some of his officers were using police vehicles as private transport.
The community claimed that some officers at the Boschkop police station used police vehicles to transport the public then make them pay a fee.
Sithole promised to take action against the officers implicated.
Boschkop police spokesperson Sergeant Yeroboam Mbatsane said no officers have been suspended yet but investigations were underway.
“We only started hearing the allegations during the imbizo and further action will be taken in due course,” he said.
