The management appreciate the sentencing and also inform communities that domestic violence applies to all genders.
The Mamelodi police service management has welcomed the hefty sentencing of Rosina Meisie Malisa (56) to 12 years imprisonment for killing her boyfriend.
Police spokesperson Captain Johannes Maheso said the management appreciate the sentencing and also inform communities that domestic violence applies to all genders.
Malisa was found guilty by the Pretoria regional court for stabbing the deceased, Faurie Wilson Seomane (60), from Mamelodi East to death with a knife.
“The two got into an argument on November 2020 in Mamelodi East, section Sns. Malisa stabbed the deceased with a knife in his upper body. He died instantly,” said Maheso.
Malisa was arrested immediately and was later released on bail. She was found guilty by the Pretoria regional court and sentenced on March 10.
Maheso added the murder case was assigned to Detective Sergeant CI Lekganyane to investigate.
“Good investigation by detective led to the arrest of Malisa,” he said.
Maheso added that the management commends the investigating officer for working tirelessly to ensure that the suspects pay for their unlawful acts.
