Soshanguve reality TV star makes Big Brother Mzansi season finale
The 28-year-old Soshanguve resident Gash1 defeated the odds in the fight to make it to the end of the 'Big Brother Mzansi' season 3 competition.
Soshanguve-born reality TV star Brandon Gashwen Mthombeni, popularly known as Gash1, shocked residents of Pretoria after he made it to the season finale of Big Brother Mzansi.
After his 71 days stay at the Big Brother house, Gash1 was one of two of 18 contestants who made it to the top two.
Speaking to Lawrence Maleka on the Big Brother live show, Gash1 said if he wins, he would use the R2m prize to fund his businesses and help the needy.
The designer and businessman was known for his charisma and sense of humour in the Big Brother house.
He was also known for his romantic relationship with fellow contestant, Thato Mokoena, which sparked conversations on social media during their stay at the house.

Gash1 and Thato evidently expressed their love for each other on the reality TV show every day.
On Sunday evening March 3, supporters of Gash1 known as Gashers, gathered in Soshanguve Block F to watch the season finale together.
Many hoped he would win the R2-million but were still happy after he was awarded the first runner-up position.
Although he did not win the R2-million prize, supporters took it to themselves to donate money to Gash1 to show their love for him.
People all over South Africa took to social media to express their love for him:
“You didn’t win the R2-million but you’ve definitely won our hearts,” Twitter user @ItsCeeyah said.
“The best view comes after the hardest climb, Gash1 was the strongest competitor well done your journey begins now. We wish you all the best in your future endeavors,” said @KairoX9.
“Dear Gash1, you are a true definition of resilience. Through the midst, you still showered them with love. We are so proud,” said @Mellisalokkyts1.
Supporters of Gash1 hope to see him again on TV, achieving his dream of being an actor.
