Man murdered at east club, two arrested
Brooklyn police station spokesperson Captain Augustinah Selepe confirmed that two suspects were arrested.
A man in his early 30s was allegedly murdered inside Latino’s Pub & Lounge on Lynnwood Rd and found in Ox Street behind the Lynnwood strip in the east of Pretoria in the early hours of May 29.
The victim was stabbed in the leg and bled out. The body was allegedly dragged out of the club and dumped in the alleyway.
Brooklyn police station spokesperson Captain Augustinah Selepe confirmed that two suspects were arrested.
“A suspect, aged 34, has been arrested for the murder and defeating the ends of justice,” said Selepe.
“In the same incident a man, aged 24, was also arrested for defeating the ends of justice.”
Brooklyn CPF members received a request for medical assistance to the victim shortly after 01:00.
“They found the man lying in the street with a fatal stab wound to the leg,” said Jarad Frimmel, ward 56 councillor in a statement.
“Emer-G-Med paramedics arrived shortly after and declared the victim deceased.”
