Man shot and killed in Laudium
The man was shot multiple times in his upper body and was declared dead on the scene.
The Laudium police are currently investigating a case of murder following a shooting in Bengal Street in Laudium.
According to police spokesperson Sergeant Simon Chokoe, police received information about a shooting incident at Bangladesh heights flats.
“On arrival, police found a man lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body.
“The body has been identified as 44-year-old Jodache Pillay.
“It is alleged that two unknown men entered the premises, walked up to Pillay and shot him multiple times in his upper body.
“He died on the scene.”
The suspects fled the scene on foot.
The motives behind the shooting and killing are currently unknown.
No arrests have been made yet and the Laudium police are investigating a case of murder.
Police are pleading with anyone who has any information that could aid them in their investigation to contact them on 08600 10 111.
