Two stolen vehicles recovered in Mabopane

It is alleged that the two suspects were involved in an attempted murder. The maroon Polo Vivo was used in the commission of these crimes.

Tshwane metro police officers recovered two stolen vehicles in Mabopane on Monday.

The first vehicle recovered was a white Toyota Etios, which was reported hijacked in Rustenburg.

It was recovered at the intersection of Molefe Makinta Highway and Peter Magano Road in Mabopane and a suspect was arrested.

The second vehicle, a maroon Polo Vivo, was recovered next to a tavern in Peter Magano Road in Mabopane.

Two suspects were arrested for being in possession of a stolen vehicle.

It was later discovered that the suspects were wanted for a case of armed robbery in Pretoria Central as well as attempted murder, and the same vehicle was used in the commission of these crimes.

A firearm was recovered by the same team at Boekenhout clinic.

In a joint operation held on Monday, the TMPD and other law enforcement agencies impounded 17 buses, arrested seven illegal immigrants and issued 180 fines for various traffic offences.

In addition, a tactical unit officer recovered a stolen Toyota Quantum in Winterveld on Tuesday morning.
