Thousands of rands worth of drugs found during crime prevention operation
"The aim of the operation was to focus specifically on preventing burglary and car theft."

Drugs worth more than R180 000 in street value were found by Villieria CPF, in collaboration with various security companies, at two sites in the Moot this past weekend.
More than 3.46kg of drugs were found in two hours.
During a crime prevention operation, a suspect was spotted near a house on Lanham Street in the East Lynne area. However, the suspect immediately fled the premises.
In the second incident of the evening, patrol teams also came across a quantity of marijuana on Jan Coetzee Street.
Villieria CPF chairperson Susan Andrews said this prevention operation was extremely successful.
“Thank you to Kilnerpark Security, Villieria Police, members of the CPF, as well as those who assisted.
“The operation focused specifically on preventing burglaries and car thefts,” Andrews said.

Xena, a dog belonging to one of the security companies involved, sniffed out the drugs – definitely one of her biggest success stories since she became part of the KPS company’s team.
“Together with the community, we can prevent crime in the area. Well done to everyone,” Andrews said.
East Lynne Sector 3’s election committee will be announced to the community on Monday, July 4.

Community members who want to find out more about the election or how to become part of the CPF, can contact Andrews on 082 802 0992.
