Help find two missing Mams men

“We appeal to the members of the public to assist with information to find the two men from Mamelodi,” police spokesperson Constable Lethabo Mashiloane said.

Mameloldi East police are calling for assistance in finding two missing persons, aged 26 and 33.

Tumelo Maxwell Mahlonoko (26) from Nellmapius ext. 24 went missing on the evening of July 14.

At the time of his disappearance, Mahlonoko was last seen wearing blue jeans and a black and white striped jersey.

His uncle reported him missing on July 22.

“This is the first time he has gone missing. He was last seen going to Mamelodi West with two friends and he was living with his girlfriend and a four-month-old baby.

“According to the information we received from the girlfriend, he left his phone behind as if he was not going far.”

His uncle said one friend came back while the other friend never returned home too.

“We have searched almost everywhere at police stations and hospitals, and we are planning to go to mortuaries,” his uncle said.

Thapelo Motaung (33) from Mamelodi East went missing on July 18. He was wearing blue chino trousers, a black T-shirt and black shoes.

“There is no waiting period to report a missing person,” Mashiloane said.

Anyone who has information about their whereabouts, please contact SAPS Mamelodi East on 012 815 7000, Crime Stop on 08600 10111 or submit information through the My SAPS app.
