Cullinan police prioritise farm safety

Farm owners were encouraged to maintain a good relationship with the police, and tighten their security.

Pretoria-Cullinan SAPS recently embarked on a safety awareness campaign on farms and small holdings in the area.

Police spokesperson, Sergeant Connie Moganedi said police and stakeholders visited several farms to sensitize the residents and workers about safety.

She said farm owners were encouraged to maintain a good relationship with the police, and tighten their security.

“The station received several reports of robberies at farms and small holdings in the past two weeks,” said Moganedi.

“Cullinan police are committed to prioritising farm safety and the prevention of farm attacks.”

She said the farmers were pleased with the police visit and promised to work with the police.

The police assured farmers of more police patrols in the area.

“We are continuing with the investigations. Please assist the police with any information that will lead to the arrest of the suspects,” said Moganedi.

To report suspicious activity to the police, dial 08600 10 111.
