Four injured when structure collapses at construction site

Four men sustained injuries after a structure collapsed on them at a construction site in Olifantsfontein on Saturday.

Three of the men sustained moderate injuries and one was seriously injured.

According to Emer-G-Med spokesperson Kyle Van Reenen paramedics arrived on scene where the four men were injured when a structure at a construction site collapsed on top of them.

“A man in his 50’s was found to be pinned under the rubble,” he said.

The Tshwane Fire Department, along with medics, undertook a lengthy extrication process to free the man and to stabilise him.

All four men were then transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital.
