Man dies after falling from top floor at Menlyn Park shopping centre
An official investigation is underway.
A 29-year-old man was declared dead after he fell from an upper floor of Menlyn Park shopping centre on Sunday Morning.
Menlyn’s general manager Nisha Kemraj said the incident occurred at about 09:45 when a man fell from Cavendish Court.
“Emergency services were immediately called to the scene, but the patient unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.”
According to Pro Med spokesperson Michael Gough the patient was declared dead on scene.
“We are currently not sure if he was pushed or jumped, however police are on scene busy with investigations.”
The scene was secured and access to the area limited.
“An official investigation is underway, and Menlyn Park Centre Management are fully cooperating with authorities as they investigate the circumstances around the incident.
Police have yet to comment.
