Expect road closures as the EFF protest in Hatfield today

The purpose of the march is to demand that the Public Protector must release the report regarding President Cyril Ramaphosa's Phala Phala farm investigation.

Motorists are reminded to avoid roads around Hatfield due to road closures today, September 9, for an EFF march.

The areas are expected to be affected from 09:00 until 15:30.
Roads affected will be:
– Park Street
– Bond Street
– Lynnwood Road

The TMPD advised motorists to avoid affected areas by using Burnett, Duxbury or Brooks streets, and said that officers will be deployed to monitor the march.

The purpose of the march was to demand that the Public Protector must release the report regarding President Cyril Ramaphosa’s Phala Phala farm investigation.

The marchers will gather from 09:00 at an open space in Kirkness Street and Park Street at Loftus and disperse from the Public Protector’s offices at 15:30.
