Man shot multiple times, airlifted to hospital

A 50-year-old man had to be airlifted to hospital after sustaining multiple gunshot wounds in Welbekend near Pretoria on Monday afternoon.
Emer-G-Med personnel found the man in a critical condition on the R25 following the shooting.
“The man was treated and stabilised on scene before a decision was made to airlift him through to a specialist facility for the definitive care he required with the assistance of the Netcare911 aeromedical helicopter.
“The facts surrounding the incident and the events preceding it are unclear and will form the subject of a South African Police Services investigation,” said Emer-G-Med spokesperson Kyle van Reenen.
