Laerskool Stephanus Roos welcomes Grade 1 learners

The school welcomed four sets of twins for the 2023 academic year.

Grade 1 learners at Laerskool Stephanus Roos were happy to start their academic year in 2023 on Wednesday.

The school also welcomed four sets of twins for the new year.

During a special assembly, the newbies were welcomed and encouraged by SGB members, school leaders and the principal.

The school has been operational for over 50 years and has seen different children come through their gates.

To create an extra element of excitement, the school launched their second mascot. For years, the mascot had been a male rose; however, that changed this morning as his sister was welcomed to the school as well.

Big brother Nathan (11) walked Divan Maritz (6) to school.
