Man dies after vehicle rolls off the R80 highway near Daspoort
Paramedics said the man was ejected from his vehicle resulting in severe head, back and spinal injuries.
A man was certified dead on scene after his vehicle rolled off the R80 highway near Daspoort.
Paramedics said the vehicle rolled down a 100m embankment.
The accident happened on the R80 east direction before Eskiah Mphahlele at around 04:30 on Sunday.
According to local paramedic service LifeMed, the man sustained severe head, back and spinal injuries with polytrauma.
Dean Slater, spokesperson for LifeMed, said the man was ejected from the vehicle.
“Upon arrival the man was certified dead.
“He was ejected from the vehicle and died on impact.
Slater said the cause of the accident was unclear and the police were called on to the scene for further investigations.
