Police need help identifying skeletal remains found in 2021
A passerby saw the bones scattered all over and alerted the school security, then the management phoned the Cullinan police.
Police have asked for the public’s help in identifying the remains of a person found near the Edendale school, Franspoort, in Cullinan.
The remains had yet to be identified after they were found in July 2021.
Police spokesperson Sergeant Connie Moganedi said the remains were analysed by the local criminal record centre, but the identity could not be established.
She said a passerby saw the bones scattered all over and alerted the school security, then the management phoned the Cullinan police.

“According to the findings of the analysis, the skeletal remains could be that of a man, estimated to be between the ages of 21 to 47 and believed to have died as far back as 2011,” said Moganedi.
Members of the public who lost a family member or do not know the whereabouts of their loved ones for some time are kindly requested to contact Cullinan SAPS detective Sergeant S Ngwenya or Sergeant R Ngobeni for identification at 012 734 7200 or 082 319 9673.
