Motorbike delivery man seriously injured in Centurion accident

A delivery motorbike rider sustained serious injuries on Friday evening when he collided with a light motor vehicle on Hendrik Verwoerd road corner Enbankment road in Centurion.

Cert-SA responded to calls of a motorcycle accident on Friday evening.

Cert-SA paramedic service spokesperson Ruan Heyns said the motorcyclist was found lying down after the collision.

He said the motorcyclist sustained critical injures.

“The patient is an adult, we not sure of his age.

“The Gauteng Emergency Services paramedics on scene stabilised the patient and he was transported to a nearby hospital in a stable condition.”

Heyns said the occupants of the light motor vehicle were not harmed and did not sustain any injuries.

Heyns said the cause of the collision will form part of police investigations.

The police were called to the scene.
