Truck carrying chrome overturned on the N4 near Watermeyer off-ramp

All lanes were closed down on Sunday afternoon. Motorists are advised to use alternative routes.

N4 lanes near Watermeyer off-ramp were closed on Sunday afternoon after truck carrying chrome overturned.

A man sustained moderate injuries as an impact of the crash.

Life Med local paramedic services responded to the scene of the accident.


Life-Med spokesperson Dean Slater said the man sustained moderate injuries.

“The man was first treated on the scene before being transported to a local hospital.
“There were no fatalities,” Slater said.

Slater told Rekord that the cause of the incident is not known but will form part of police investigation.

Spokesperson for Tshwane Emergency Services Department Charles Mabaso said all lanes were closed due to the accident.
“Traffic will be impacted as all lanes are closed.

“Emergency services are on the scene trying to clear the road.

“Motorists are advised to use alternative routes,” Mabaso said.

The police are on currently on the scene investigating the incident.
