Be aware of your weather forecast before travelling.

Pretoria is expected to have a 60% chance of rain on Monday.
The South African Weather Services (SAWS) predicted that the day would be mostly cloudy with showers and thundershowers throughout the day.
According to the service, Monday’s overview temperatures were expected to be a minimum of 10ºC to a maximum of 21ºC.
Tuesday’s weather humidity was expected to begin at 85% which would increase to 90% in the early hours of the morning and go down to 60% in the afternoon.
“The weather conditions for Tuesday are going to start with showers and thundershowers and continue into the afternoon,” the SAWS said.
However, Tuesday’s rain probability was expected to be only 30%.
The wind speed was expected to be travelling from 9 km per hour with 5 knots to 19 km per hour with a slight increase of 5 knots which would be running at 10 knots.
Here are safety tips for residents to make use of during wet weather conditions:
– Pull over to a safe area when caught in a heavy storm.
– Turn off all electrical and gas appliances should you be indoors during a flood.
– Never drive into deep water as only a depth of 60cm is required to wash a vehicle away.
– Be aware of your weather forecast before travelling.
– Ensure you keep emergency numbers handy.
– Don’t park or stand under a tree during heavy rainfall as dead branches can damage your vehicle or injure you.
