Two critical as car overturn in Simon Vermooten
"The accident victims sustained critical injuries."
Two people suffered critical injuries in an accident in Simon Vermooten Street, east of Pretoria on Saturday evening, the attending paramedic service confirmed.
SVTA/Lifemed spokesperson Dean Slater said the vehicle the two were in overturned.
He said when paramedics arrived, one person was entrapped inside the vehicle while the other had been ejected.
Slater said the two people were airlifted to hospital by helicopter in a critical condition with suspected spinal injuries.
Details surrounding the cause of the accident are limited at this stage.
“The police are investigating the cause of the incident,” said Slater.
