Check out these Father’s Day Events:
Antique and Collectors Market, June 16
The second such event for 2023, the Antiques and Collectors Market will provide fun for the whole family at the Voortrekker monument.
The market features antique furniture, cars, crockery, and other collectables, with delicious traditional and festival foods.
The event runs from 07:00 to 14:00 on Friday.
Eldo Kuierfees, June 16
Start your Father’s Day celebrations early with this family-friendly day festival at Hoërskool Eldoraigne.
The event starts at 15:00 and will feature live performances by some of South Africa’s top artists including Die Heuwels Fantasties, Appel, Kurt Darren, and Bernice West, making it a perfect Father’s Day event.
Own cooler boxes are welcome for a fee.
Highlands Gathering, June 17
The Pretoria High School Old Boys Club presents their annual Highlands Gathering from 09:00 in Lynnwood.
The event includes performances by the finest pipe bands and highland dancers that Gauteng has to offer.
There is also a bar with cold beer, a food and craft market, and a tea and coffee garden.
The last performance begins at 16:00.
LKM Father’s Day Market, June 17
Bring your dad along to the Lavender Kontrei Mark this weekend, with live music by Marcel Dalmayda.
Lekker 80s music will be paired with classic unique and handmade gifts for your special father figure.
A variety of food stalls and children’s activities makes the Father’s Day event one not to miss.
The market will run from 08:00 to 14:00 on Saturday.
Father’s Day with Black Cat Bones, Bacchus Nel and Apollo Motel, June 18
A beer, a burger, your ballie and Black Cat Bones (deboned) – that’s what’s on offer at Railways Café in Irene this Father’s Day.
The Black Cat Bones were formed in 2007 in Silverton and have been thrilling local audiences since.
The first performance will kick off at 13:00, with headliners at 15:00.
Father’s Day Motor Show, June 18
Bring Dad out to see the street rods, vintage vehicles and exotic cars at this Father’s Day event at the picnic area of the National Zoological Gardens in Pretoria.
The event is family-friendly with the rest of the zoo available and picnic baskets welcome.
The motor show will kick off at 10:00.
