Monique West, June 30

The fiery Monique West has a range to be rivalled: from golden oldies to rock, pop, Afrikaans and country music, West can do it all.

Catch her at Padstal near The Grove in Pretoria East for a memorable afternoon from 13:00 to 18:00.

Crafters Fair Winter Market, June 30 – July 8

Join Crafters Fair for a relaxing day out with family and friends at its Winter Market in Pretoria.

The market has a selection of amazing exhibitors with high-quality products from all over South Africa – all under one roof.

At the Moreleta Church off De Villebois Mareuil Drive daily from 09:00 to 18:00. Note that the market is closed on Sundays.

Glaskas, June 30

Eastern Cape Afrikaans pop rock band, Glaskas, will be thrilling Pretoria audiences at Die Land on Friday from 19:00.

The band promises that the evening will be a “massive jol”.

Glaskas released their latest single, “Die Lig”, in early May after almost 10 years. This is the first single released by the band since the release of their fourth album in 2012.

Valhalla Forest Market, July 1

A brand new market is coming to Valhalla at the AlleyShack on Tyman Road. The event boasts 80 captivating stalls with hand-crafted goods and fashion-forward finds.

Food stalls provide delicious culinary delights, while live entertainment brings the rhythm of the day from musicians to dancers and artists.

The market will run from 11:00 to 17:00, and entrance to the market is free.

Franja du Plessis, July 1

Daughter of the legendary Juanita du Plessis, this Pretoria-raised singer has proved she can stand on her own two feet after her debut album My Verhaal went platinum soon after its release in 2016.

Franja is a talented songwriter, writing in English and Afrikaans, with several of Juanita du Plessis’ songs being penned by her young daughter.

The Hoërskool Die Wilgers alumnus will be performing at Montana Family Market on Saturday from 14:00.

Pieter Erasmus, July 2

Local Centurion artist Pieter Erasmus is this month’s guest at the Rendezvous Sessions at the Taproom in Pretoria East.

Erasmus is no stranger to live gigs at venues big or small, having performed at several venues across the Capital City and beyond.

This chilled event for meeting with friends and family while listening to great musical vibes takes place on Sunday from 11:00.
