Power supply interruption to affect parts of region 7 in Tshwane

The power supply interruption is due to planned Eskom maintenance on a transmission line.

Some parts of the Far East will be with no power for more than 11 hours on Sunday July 30.

The city of Tshwane has announced that some parts of Bronkhorstspruit, Zithobeni and Ekangala in region 7 will have their power supply interrupted.

The metro spokesperson Lindela Mashigo said the city was notified by power utility Eskom that the interruption will take place between 07:00 and 19:00.

Mashigo said Eskom’s technicians will carry out work.

“The power utility Eskom will carry out essential work on the transmission line from Witbank to Bronkhorstspruit,” Mashigo said.

Mashigo said residents will be updated from time to time on this situation.

The city apologies for any inconvenience that may be caused as a result of this maintenance work.
