Police search for Eersterust woman missing for a year

The family claimed they last saw her last year as she visited a friend in Mamelodi East.

Police are investigating a missing person case following the disappearance of Monsunique Megan Pearce (26) from Eersterust.

Police spokesperson Sergeant Daphney Maila said her family had last seen her on January 1 2023.

“The family claimed they last saw her last year, when she left to visit a friend in Mamelodi east section SNS,” said Maila.

She said her family reported her missing last year when she didn’t return home.

“Her friend alleged her family had not seen her since,” Maila said.

“The family searched almost everywhere for her, at friends’ places, family and relatives, but no one has seen her.”

Maila added that there was no information about what she wore when she was last seen.

The police advised that there was no waiting period to report a missing person.

Anyone with information regarding Pearce’s whereabouts is requested to contact Detective Warrant-Officer Ngwandula of Eersterust SAPS on 079 570 2347 or alternatively, Crime Stop on 08600 10111.
