Soshanguve crash leaves 10 learners injured
Ten patients were treated and transported to different local health facilities with injuries ranging from minor to critical.
About 10 learners were transported to different local health facilities after their scholar transport crashed this morning in Soshanguve Block GG.
According to Tshwane emergency services, the accident was reported at 06:44.
Emergency services spokesperson Deputy Chief Charles Mabaso said 10 patients were treated and transported to Clinic 3, Botshilo and Dr George Mukhari hospitals.
Mabaso said the patients were admitted with injuries ranging from minor to critical.
“One patient was transported to Dr George Mukhari Hospital in a critical but stable condition. Another one was transported to Botshilo Hospital in a stable condition and eight patients were transported to Clinic 3 with minor to moderate injuries.”
He said in a separate incident that occurred on the N4 near Bronkhorstpruit before 08:00 today, a female patient was declared dead on the scene while three others were treated and transported to hospital.
The causes of both accidents are subject to police investigation.
