Karen Zoid, Irene, February 9

Start your weekend off on a cool note at Railways Café Irene with the incomparable Karen Zoid.

She isn’t coming alone, as she brings Aya Nixon and Pierre Coetsee with her for a night to remember.

The first act hits the stage at 19:00, with Zoid on stage from 21:00.

Klappies Community walk/run/hike, Groenkloof, February 10

Get an early and active start on Saturday morning with a free run, walk, or hike with the Friends of Groenkloof and Klapperkop nature reserves.

Eventgoers will meet at 06:30 to set off on the 4km or 9km loops.

Rietondale Pickelball Club launch, Rietondale, February 10

Ready for a new hobby? This fun sport is coming to Rietondale this weekend with a launch event including food stalls, and a whole load of fun in the sun.

Bring your sunblock, hat, and tekkies and see what all the hype is about.

Paddles and balls will be available on the day. The event is free and starts at 08:00 at the Rietondale Tennis Club on Saturday morning.

Laudo Liebenberg, Colbyn, February 10

The actor and aKing lead singer is downscaling this weekend for an intimate show at Café Barcelona in Colbyn.

Get up close and personal with this big name in entertainment from 16:00 on Saturday, for a show starting from 17:30.

Klitsgras Drumming Circle, Tierpoort, February 10

Founded in 1999 by musician and drummer Andries Bruyns, Klitsgras Drumming Circle is an interactive drumming session for the public that starts with a short tutorial.

The sessions are facilitated by experienced drumming instructors who guide the participants through a range of drumming techniques and rhythms.

Head on over for this interactive event from 16:00, with the circle starting at 18:00.
