Pretoria always has a lot to offer for all tastes, and this weekend is no exception.

 

Jazzy Nights with Ntlaks the Journey, Akasia, February 23

Get ready for a groovy Friday night at Bentley’s Country Lodge.

With excellent music, great food and groovy people, the night is set to be one to remember.

The event runs from 19:00 to 23:00, and admission is free.

Die Moot Projek, Moregloed, February 24

Get involved and uplift your community this weekend as Die Moot Projek takes on its Moregloed Skropsessie.

Taking place at the landmark Moot Lockhouse, the initiative aims to raise funds and get the community involved in building an exercise track and walking path.

All are welcome from 08:00 to 10:00 at the corner of Terblanche street and Codonia Avenue.

LKM Open Day and Boot Sale, Onderstepoort, February 24

Can you sniff out a bargain? The Lavender Kontrei Mark is having a boot sale with all the usual popular stalls and a bunch of additional pre-loved goods at excellent prices.

The event will run from 08:00 with live entertainment by Jakkie Louw from 10:30.

Enjoy the day out in the sun with children’s entertainment and a beer, wine and gin garden for the parents.

The market runs until 14:00.

Christiaan Snyman – Ceramic Art, Nieuw Muckleneuk, February 24 and 25

The Association of Arts Pretoria presents an exhibition of ceramic art by bass-baritone Christiaan Snyman.

Snyman realised he had a knack for throwing on the wheel and sculpting soon after he gave the art a try in 2020.

If you miss the exhibition opening on Saturday, be sure to head on over on Sunday at 11:30 for a performance by Snyman, accompanied by Annalien Ball and Erica Ball, interspersed by short classical pieces on piano and cello.

Love @ First Sight Festival, Pretoria Dog Rescue, February 24

Bring the family along to meet your “perfect pawmate” and make a difference in a doggy’s day.

For only a tin or bag of dog food, Pretoria Dog Rescue in Centurion is calling animal lovers to bring some joy to its local rescues this weekend.

The event runs from 09:00 to 14:00.

Lucky Rodrigo Vinyl Fair, Lynnwood, February 24

Music lovers who can’t resist the pull of the good old vinyl are in for a treat with this large selection of new and pre-loved vinyl records.

The market offers an awesome vibe that will run from 11:00 to 14:00.

Somerfees, Loftus, February 24

Somerfees is back bringing some of South Africa’s biggest and best Afrikaans music names for a big jol at Loftus Park. “Kom skud jou biscuit” with Riaan Benade, Elandre, Van Pletzen, Zaan Sonnekus, Bernice West, Rooksein and Werner Olkers.
