The Flash Sale Pop-Up Shop, Brooklyn, March 1 to 3

Fascinated by fashion? Support local talent and shop directly from the designers you love at Brooklyn Mall’s main atrium this weekend.

Two daily fashion shows will exhibit some of the works from South African Fashion Week.

Celebrate fashion, community, and the vibrant spirit of South African design, with fashion shows at 13:00 and 15:00.

Come on by, pop in, and make a statement with your style!

NHK RHK Aandmark, The Reeds, March 1

The Nederduitsch Hervormde Kerk Rooihuiskraal is hosting a night market for the whole family.

Plenty of stalls with delicious food and drinks await.

There will also be fun games for the kids, from Boeresport to bumper carts.

The market kicks off at 16:00 on Friday.

Colbyn Corner Street Market, Colbyn, March 2

Have a relaxing Saturday stroll with a street market at Café Barcelona in Colbyn.

It wouldn’t be Café Barcelona without a gig, so look forward to live entertainment by Piet Vermaak.

The market starts at 10:00 and runs until 16:00.

Brand new characters, stories and skits are in store following the success of the first edition of the show.

Lizz Meiring brings “The Human Library” to understand others better, as the audience gets to meet a range of characters: real, historical, fictional, mythological, comedic, tragic, satirical, tragicomic, it’s all there.

The show runs from 19:30 on Friday and 11:00 on Saturday at the Centurion Theatre.

Oppi’ Markplein, Voortrekker Monument, March 1 and 2

Make a note in your diary to enjoy a fun weekend at the Voortrekker Monument with the perfect outing for the whole family.

The event starts on Friday with a night market and night run including delicious food and lekker music from 16:00 to 22:00.

Saturday morning starts with Pretoria’s most iconic parkrun, mountain biking routes and a market day from 07:00 to 15:00.

Included on Saturday will be Boeresport for the kids and a “Boer dra ’n vrou” competition for the older crowd.

Young Kings Spinfest, Kirkney, March 2

Head on over to Mahem Raceway from 10:00 on Saturday for an exciting weekend activity.

The day for lovers of this unique and exciting motorsport involves driving cars at speed in circles and performing stunts in and out of the car.

Team APS presents Young Kings Spinfest at Mahem Raceway, bringing you some of South Africa’s most talented spinners.

Touring with the legend: Tribute to Rodriguez, Menlyn, March 2

Menlyn Barnyard Theatre brings the ultimate Rodriguez tribute show with Graham Gillot, who personally toured with the “Sugarman” singer from 2004 in SA to his very last US tour in February 2020.

The show will feature Rodriguez’s biggest hits, including “I Wonder”, “Crucify your mind”, “Streetboy”, “Only good conversation” and more while Gillot recounts personal stories from the road and shows unseen footage from the last tour.

The show starts at 19:00 on Saturday at the Barnyard Theatre Menlyn.

Shavathon, Elarduspark, March 2

The Rietvallei Voortrekkers are hosting a Cansa Shavathon at the NG Church Elarduspark.

Shave, spray or donate to support Cansa’s fight against cancer.

The Shavathon will run from 08:00 to 14:00.
