Medics attend to victim after group of friends allegedly ambushed and robbed

The man was transported to hospital in a stable condition.

The Community Emergency Response Team SA (Cert-SA) responded to a call where it was reported that a victim had been allegedly assaulted by robbers in The Reeds, Centurion on March 22.

According to Cert-SA spokesperson Ruan Heyns, on Friday afternoon, the Centurion crew responded to a call where a group of friends were attacked by unknown assailants while walking outdoors.

“The incident occurred outside a residential home in The Reeds, Centurion, where a group of friends were allegedly robbed while walking in the street.”

“The assailants assaulted one of the young men during the alleged robbery, leaving him with minor injuries.”

The patient was transported to hospital in a stable condition.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are not clear at this time.
