Body of missing Rooihuiskraal resident found

Travis Stevens’ partner Catherine Bester wished to thank the community for the support and assistance their family has received over the last two weeks.

The body of missing Travis Stevens (38) of Rooihuiskraal was found on March 26.

Stevens was reported missing on March 13 after he disappeared from his home, leading to a community-wide search.

Tshwane SAPS spokesperson Warrant-Officer Johan Van Dyk confirmed police had found a body in a secluded area.

The Pink Ladies organisation for missing persons confirmed that the body was that of Stevens.

Bester said Stevens had a deep love for his children, describing him as a dedicated father.

“His children were his life.

We as a family appreciate everything that everybody in our community has done, especially the CPF.”

Bester has requested privacy as the family is facing this difficult time.
