Southdowns Market kickstarts the long weekend
Southdowns Market kicked off the long weekend with live music and a big crowd.

On March 29, the Southdowns Market at Southdowns Shopping Centre kicked off the long weekend in style.
The market was set up in the parking lot area, filling the Irene air with live music and attracting a large crowd of people. The enclosed area was safe and welcoming, and families, groups of friends, and couples all enjoyed the lively atmosphere, which was packed with a variety of food stalls, entertainment for kids, gift ideas, and ample seating.
Those who attended had plenty of options to choose from for eats and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The parking area was safe and spacious, and the event continued to draw in crowds throughout the night.
Kagiso Ledwaba and Tilo Tilo Zwane, engaged to be married, said they usually go to the Castle Walks market, but found this one much bigger and safer, with a wider variety in choice.
The event begins at 16:00 and runs until 22:00 and the nonstop fun keeps going until the very end. Keep an eye out for the announcement of the next event on social media.
