Yarns of fun at the monthly Pretoria Stoepmark

The calming activity of knitting, embroidery and working with wool brought together a tight-knit group of enthusiasts over the long weekend.

On Saturday, a group of people congregated at R&R Bistro in Villieria, Pretoria North, to participate in the monthly Pretoria Stoepmark event, which involved the art of knitting, embroidery and working with wool. The event was a testament to the passion and skill that the participants possess, as they spent the day engaged in their respective crafts.

The Stoepmark, which takes place on the last Saturday of the month, is a great opportunity for the knitting community to come together.

You can get your hands on top-quality wool and tools. Knotty Habit (singular because one habit is big enough) and Colours of Amalfi (named after the town Amalfi in Italy) the sponsors and founders of the event, showcased their high-quality bundles of wool in a variety of colours, along with imported tools that are used to create beautiful pieces.

The atmosphere was welcoming, with participants conversing and exchanging ideas while enjoying the refreshments and delectable food served by the bistro.

Overall, the Stoepmark proved a delightful and engaging experience for all involved, as the passion for crafting and the sense of community it fosters were on full display.
