Family begs help to locate missing loved one

The last information his family has about Clive Heyns (50) is that he was picked up by ambulance on his way to an unknown hospital in late October last year.

The Heyns family in Silverton has appealed to the public to help trace their relative last seen about six months ago.

Clive Heyns (50) was last seen at Stanza Bopape Clinic in Mamelodi on October 27, according to Sister-in-law Amanda Heyns.

Amanda said Clive was homeless and slept under bridges in Silverton but had neither mental nor chronic health problems.

She said he is slim, brown-skinned and has black hair and brown eyes.

“Last September I saw Clive at the parking lot of supermarket in Silverton when I went to do my shopping.

“He approached me and we spoke, then went in to buy him food. After that I left him at the parking lot.”

Amanda said on November 11, at around 07:30 his other sister-in-law called her to tell her that in late October (two weeks prior), Clive had been taken to hospital by ambulance, but she was not sure which.

She said the family had visited the local clinics and hospitals in search of him to no avail.

“The family even visited some hangouts in Silverton but could not find him,” she said.

A missing person’s case was registered with the Silverton police in March.

Amanda said the family was pleading with anyone to help them reunite with Clive.
