CBD streets to be affected by march
Tshwane metro police officers and the police will be deployed to monitor the march and all the affected streets.

Tshwane metro warns residents of a march by the Congress of South African Trade Unions (Cosatu) today.
According to metro spokesperson Isaac Mahamba, members of Cosatu will march to demand the reversal of South African Post Office closures and the associated job losses.
“The marchers will gather from 09:00 at Marabastad old Putco depot and march to the National Treasury of South Africa,” said Mahamba.
According to Mahamba, the route of the march is as follows:
From the gathering point, they will join Struben Street, turn right onto Sophie de Bruyn Street and turn left at Madiba Street.
They will proceed to the National Treasury of South Africa on the corner of Madiba and Paul Kruger streets, Pretoria Central.
The following streets will be affected:
– Struben Street
– Cowie Street
– Kgosi Mampuru Street
– Sophie de Bruyn Street
– Madiba Street
– Bosman Street
– Paul Kruger Street
Mahamba said the marchers are expected to disperse from the National Treasury at 14:00.
“Metro police officers and the SAPS will be deployed to monitor the march and all the affected streets,” he said.
Mahamba urged motorists to use alternative routes, such as:
– Es’kia Mphahlele Drive
– Nana Sita Street
– Francis Baard Street
