Mams family still searching for mom who disappeared in February
The suspected kidnapper, the ex-boyfriend of the missing woman, was found hanging under a tree in Bronkhorstspruit.
The family of a Nellmapius teacher (43) last seen going to drop off her two children at school in February is pleading with the public to assist in finding her.
Boitumelo Maketsing Mabusela has been reported missing.
The family said she rented a room in Nellmapius Extension 2, and pleaded with the public to help them look for her.
According to her sister, Winnie Ramafoko, Mabusela was kidnapped by her ex-boyfriend on her way to drop her children off on February 2.
Ramafoko said the children told her the ex-boyfriend got into their mother’s car and drove with them a few blocks before dropping them off and leaving with her sister.
“My sister is still missing, but the ex-boyfriend was found dead by the police after he hanged himself under a tree next to a plot in Bronkhorspruit,” said Ramafoko.
She said the car was found near his body, and inside it both their cellphones.
She said her sister wore blue jeans and a light green top that day.
Police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Francois Smith, said police have already started the investigation, and appealed for people to help locate Mabusela.
He said she was reported missing by a family member on February 2.
Police said there is no waiting period to report a missing person.
Anyone who has information on Mabusela’s whereabouts is urged to contact Silverton police on 012 845 4000, Crime Stop on 08600 10111 or submit information through the MySAPS app.
