Tshwane Tiktok sensation ‘Aus Velemina’ to be laid to rest

Aus Velemina has left his fans grieving after passing away after a short illness at the age of 31.

The sudden death of a Pretoria comedian and Tiktok influencer Lebogang “Aus Velemina” Ledwaba (31) has shocked his fans.

Aus Velemina, an artist, MC, and TikTok influencer from Mamelodi, died on Wednesday, April 10, after a short illness.

Chane Productions manager and producer Jerome Thabiso Sachane said Ausi Velemina was one of South Africa’s most loved and famous influencers.

He said Aus Velemina has left his fans grieving after a short illness at the age of 31.

“His death has affected a lot of people and left them speechless. Vee, whose real name was Lebogang, grew up in Atteridgeville and Mamelodi,” said Sachane.

He leaves behind his mother, grandmother, and sister and a career that was his bread and butter.

He said Ausi Velemina loved mentoring up-and-coming artists and actors.

“Lebogang worked with so many celebrities and had a very good relationship with most of them,” said Sachane.

He started his career by teaming up with King P Ash-ga1 and his manager, Sachane, who first saw Aus Velemina on Facebook. “He posted one of his funniest videos, and there and then I knew that this fellow had such amazing raw talent.”

Sachane said immediately meeting Velemina, they produced a hit song Ditshele, which was produced by King P & Cheese Deep ft. Lejeje, Caliba and Aus Velemina.

“It was clear that Aus Velemina possessed such an amazing ability to freestyle jokes while in the studio and outside, maintaining an edginess that endeared him to his fans,” he said.

“Aus Velamina helped many societies, businesses, NGOs, private businesses, and artists push their brands, and also helped publicise socially relevant information.

He fused comedy with music, being a part-time DJ and also MCing at big events, which was something most influencers couldn’t keep up with or maintain.

His style of video comedy resonated with young and older people.

Aus Velemina loved his fans a lot. His influence in South African entertainment circles was amazing. Mama Tshiamo remains a legend after influencing artists like him and following his path by showing how you can work your way up if you truly believe in yourself.”

Sachane said Aus Velemina will be buried at Heatherly Cemetery on Saturday after a procession will start at his home in House No. 948 Mokopa Street in Mamelodi East at 07:30.
