Two arrested for drug possession in Pretoria North
The two men are expected to appear in the Pretoria North Magistrate’s Court soon on charges relating to dealing in and possession of drugs.
Police have taken drugs such as crystal meth, nyaope and heroin off the streets of Pretoria North after two men were arrested for possession of and dealing in drugs at the weekend.
Spokesperson Johan Van Dyk said the Tshwane district track and trace police unit, supported by the Pretoria North crime prevention unit and local patrollers, followed up on information about two men roaming the streets in and around Pretoria North on May 18.
“The information led them to Emily Hobhouse Street, where two suspects were identified.”
He said the two attempted to flee on foot but were apprehended.
“Police recovered and seized several packets of crystal meth, nyaope and heroin. The two were detained at Pretoria North SAPS for further police investigations.”
Van Dyk said the two men are expected to appear in the Pretoria North Magistrate’s Court soon on charges relating to dealing in and possession of drugs.
