Passenger bus engulfed in flames on N14 in Centurion

A bus on the N14 West near Centurion was completely destroyed by fire, but miraculously, all passengers and the driver escaped safely.

A passenger bus caught fire on the N14 West near Centurion, but miraculously, everyone on board, including the driver, escaped uninjured.

According to the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT-SA), the incident happened around 16:40 on Sunday.

“Sunday afternoon, around 16:40, our Centurion crew responded to a passenger bus on fire on the N14 West just past the Jean Avenue offramp.

“Miraculously, the driver and all passengers managed to escape the fire, and no injuries were reported on the scene.”

It said the fire destroyed the bus.

“The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.

Thanks to the Tshwane Emergency Services Department and the Tshwane Metro Police Department for their assistance on the scene.”

CERT is a non-profit and public beneficiary organization.

“We solely rely on donations to keep providing our services to the community free of charge.”

Meanwhile in other news, an investigation is still ongoing after the Pretoria Central police recovered trucks allegedly stolen in Johannesburg on November 14.

The CBD police this week remain on the lookout for an unknown number of suspects who allegedly stole the two trucks.
