Family seeks help in locating son
His vehicle was recovered with all of his belongings near a field in Centurion.
The family of 32-year-old Willem Sander is seeking the public’s help in locating their loved one, who went missing on November 28.
His vehicle was recovered with all his belongings near a field in Centurion the next day.
According to his father, Wimpy, Willem was last seen leaving his home in Johannesburg on Thursday afternoon.
However, he never returned home.
The next day, Wimpy received a call from the owner of a farm in Centurion, who had found Willem’s abandoned bakkie in a field.
The bakkie had his contact details at the back.
Wimpy added that the vehicle had been parked there since Friday morning, but there was no sign of Willem.
“His laptop bag and phone were found lying in the grass outside the bakkie.”
Wimpy stated that Willem’s friends have also been unable to contact him.
One of his friends who was supposed to visit him on Saturday was unable to get hold of him.
Willem is slender, 1.75m tall, has blue eyes, short blonde hair and a scar in his right hand from surgery.
“Willem also has tattoos of black outlines of flames on his stomach and rib cage.
“I am appealing to anyone who has seen him to call me or the police.”
Police had not commented on the matter by the time of publication.
