According to founder of the market, Simone Maritz, the market was established in 2016, but took a brief hiatus during the Covid-19 pandemic.

“I started the market to provide a platform for vendors like myself to sell our handmade, unique crafts,” Maritz explained.

The market takes place on the last Sunday of every month and has gained a loyal following, with locals flocking to support local artisans.

Maritz said that the support from the community warms their hearts because most of the vendors, selling is their only source of income.

“We’ve created a space where people can express themselves freely, and it’s wonderful to see the community come together to support us.”
