Olievenhoutbosch clinic transformed into modern healthcare facility
The facility has a fresh coat of paint, durable porcelain tiles, ceilings and a 150-litre solar geyser.
Renovations to the Olievenhoutbosch clinic have finally been completed, following the metro’s R1.2-million investment to transform it into a modern and accessible healthcare facility.
Tshwane MMC for Health Tshegofatso Mashabela said the funds were used in repairing and maintaining critical infrastructure in the clinic.
“The launch demonstrates the city’s commitment to improving healthcare standards.”
Mashabela said the revamped facility now boasts durable porcelain tiles, ceilings, and robust cornices, all aimed at enhancing safety and functionality.
She added that the clinic’s interior has been given a fresh coat of high-quality paint to add to its welcoming ambience.
“Energy efficiency has also been prioritised, with the installation of a 150-litre solar geyser to reduce the building’s environmental footprint.”
Mashabela also highlighted the broader implications of the clinic’s transformation.
She noted that the facility’s upgraded design, including improved sanitary facilities, security measures, and privacy upgrades, ensures that the clinic is well-equipped to meet the needs of the Olievenhoutbosch community.
“The clinic’s design emphasises accessibility, inclusiveness, and the ability to handle increased patient volumes to ensure that residents receive high-quality healthcare.”
She emphasised that these “renovations are a testament to our commitment to healthcare excellence”.
“When I assumed the role of MMC for Health, one of my key priorities was to ensure that the health and well-being of every resident are prioritised,” she said.
She further stated that the project reflects the metro’s commitment to making high-quality healthcare accessible and affordable for all.
Mashabela added that the upgraded facility represents the start of ongoing efforts to improve healthcare services in Olievenhoutbosch.
“The project symbolises the city’s long-term vision for building a healthier and brighter future for all residents.
As we celebrate the completion of this project, we reaffirm the mayoral executive’s commitment to making healthcare accessible, affordable, and of the highest quality for all residents.”
