Soulbent Project and metro clean up Saulsville Cemetery
The Tshwane metro pledged to support community-driven environmental outreaches.
The Soulbent Project along with the Tshwane metro cleaned Saulsville Cemetery on March 7.
The Soulbent Project CEO Mashudu Makhado said the project, in partnership with Tshwane and Gauteng Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, led by Tshwane Mayor Nasiphi Moya, took decisive action against illegal dumping in the Saulsville Cemetery.
“A team of 60 workers from the Soulbent Project, alongside municipal representatives, successfully removed over 300 bags of waste from Saulsville Cemetery and Makhaza Sports Centre.”
Speaking at the event, Makhado emphasised the importance of community-driven environmental action.
“Charity begins at home. Saulsville and the surrounding communities, including Atteridgeville, are our home. We need to clean up Monday to Friday so that we can see sustainability.”
He said the clean-up is part of Soulbent Project’s ongoing commitment to waste management, recycling, and environmental conservation.
“The organisation conducts regular clean-up operations and awareness campaigns to combat illegal dumping and promote a cleaner, healthier community.”

He said Tshwane has pledged continued support for initiatives that foster environmental sustainability.
Moya praised the efforts of the Soulbent Project and encouraged residents to take responsibility for keeping their neighbourhoods clean.
