Zesty elegance: Citrus-themed high tea charms guests
A refreshing celebration of motherhood unfolded beneath the trees, where citrus flavours and heartfelt connections took centre stage.
In a heartwarming celebration ahead of Mother’s Day, Vinteage Lounge Bistro hosted an enchanting citrus-themed High Tea under the shady trees at Centurion Hospice.
Guests were welcomed with a beautifully curated selection of teas and citrus-infused delights that intrigued both the eye and the palate.

The menu featured lemon scones paired with thyme and honey butter, coconut éclairs drizzled with lime and white chocolate, and delicate lemon madeleines topped with lemon, cornflower, and white chocolate. A creative twist came in the form of an orange meringue tart, replacing the traditional lemon, with hints of orange liqueur for a bold, refreshing flavour.

“The whole theme today is citrus,” said Annina, the culinary mind behind the experience. “All my pairings are inspired by it. I love citrus! You’ll also see it reflected in the tea selection, there’s a rooibos blend with chamomile and orange blossom to complement the flavours. Just lovely. You’re going to want to taste all of it!”

The event brought together mothers, daughters, cousins, friends, and families in a serene outdoor setting, reinforcing the spirit of community and care.

It was hosted in collaboration with Centurion Hospice, a non-profit that gains support through donations and the resale of pre-loved goods. Their on-site shop offers a wide variety of items, with all proceeds supporting the hospice.
More than just tea, it was a tribute to love, life, and giving back.
