Operation Basadi by women in blue
Female officers conducted their own operation in celebration of women month.
The Cullinan policewomen and other law enforcement held a successful operation Basadi in Refilwe in celebration of Women’s month on Monday.
Police spokesperson Sergeant Connie Moganedi said the operation is an annual operation and this year’s operation was a success.
“The successful operation by women, positively impacted the area and managed to issue more than R50 000 fines in contravention of Road Traffic Act,” said Moganedi.
She said women in policing did their best to reflect courage, bravery and the efforts of women of the past that afforded today’s women the opportunities they have.

“The operation focused on the crime prevention activities such as stop and searches and enforcement of the Road Traffic Act,” said Moganedi.
The operation stopped vehicles and pedestrians looking for drugs and dangerous weapons.
She added the Cullinan police management thanked all the stakeholders who took part in the operation and further encouraged women to be the architects of the society they wanted to see.
The police encouraged the public to work with them in fighting crime and report any suspicious activities to them on 08600 10 111.
